Kids classes at Mansfield Martial Arts are for children ages 4 and up.

Our 4,5 and 6 year olds work on developing listening skills, focus, respect all while having fun in a great paced exciting class that teaches basic martial arts safety skills.

Children ages 7yrs old and up enjoy developing confidence, focus, self-discipline and respect. The classes are fun, exciting and teach great martial arts skills that are taught to be used only for self-defense.

Karate for Kids Mansfield Texas (TX) July 1, 2008

Kids classes at Mansfield Martial Arts are for children ages 4 and up.

Our 4,5 and 6 year olds work on developing listening skills, focus, respect all while having fun in a great paced exciting class that teaches basic martial arts safety skills.

We teach several martial arts as part of our martial arts program for kids. The beginner course is a non-contact program taught in a safe environment that is structured and disciplined. We emphasize self-discipline vs discipline and lead the kids with positive reinforcement. We use teaching techniques like positive reinforcement, proximity praising, and praise-correct-praise. Each of our classes use a class planner that is published for everyone to see. Most schools just “wing it” from class to class. There is a difference in a school using a curriculum and actually using a class planner. So when checking out martial arts schools, they should have a published curriculum and a published class planner. The class planner we use for our karate for kids classes and our teen and adult martial arts programs is posted for parents, students, and other spectators to see each and every lesson.

Kung Fu Panda

I watched the Kungfu Panda movie last week. It was great. Jack Black is one of my favorite comedic actor. It reminded me of the lessons we teach in our childrens classes. Building confidence in children from the inside out is the first step in toward bringing students to black belt.

Self-defense can be taught quickly, but the inner benefits of focus, respect, and self-control are taught using a structured method that brings results quickly.

Increased confidence in children is not just something that occurs when taking class. It must be taught on purpose. More to come on how we build confidence in our students.

Martial arts students are growing in record numbers. I don’t know if it’s the heat, or something else, but Mansfield Martial Arts in growing in record numbers. We are enrolling approximately 10 new students per week. Our martial arts classes are designed for adults and children. We teach focus, respect, concentration, respect, and so much more. We use our structured teaching method to improve children’s confidence while they have fun taking classes and learning how to defend themselves.

Our adult kickboxing/self-defense classes are great for fitness, stress relief, and self-protection.
